About
Source MaterialAN OVERVIEW
Source Material (SM) is a student-led publication, supported by the ArtCenter Writing Center. Created by and for students, it brings together art, writing, and design from different disciplines. Each issue is made collaboratively from the initial ideas to the final printed book, and SM also organizes community events such as workshops and release gatherings that bring students together to exchange ideas and creative work.
ISSUE 08: FRAMES
Issue 08: Frames explores the ways we capture, document, and remember our lived experiences. Inspired by a summer spent in different cities, this issue reflects on how photos, videos, and memories become frames of our everyday lives. From daily routines to fleeting moments, each contribution reveals how the act of framing shapes the way we recall and share our stories.
For this issue, I took part in publication design, production with the local printer, and helped setting up the released party.
ISSUE 09: TABOO
Issue 09: Taboo explores the unspoken rules that shape what we share and what we hide. It invites reflection on the boundaries of what’s considered acceptable, personal, or private, and creates space for stories that are often left unsaid. Through both introspection and observation, this issue seeks connection in the hidden, the overlooked, and the taboo.
In this issue, I worked with the editorial team to shape the concept and design the publication, and also took part in printing, production, and event setup.
